A smiling patient receives oral health care from volunteers at a Mission of Mercy event.
As we prepare for the 6th Annual Arizona Dental Mission of Mercy on December 8th – 9th 2017 we want to take a moment and congratulate the Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM) on the successful completion of their 11th dental Mission of Mercy held October 13th – 14th 2017 in Pueblo Colorado. COMOM held its first event in 2007.
What made this event special was that several volunteers from the Arizona Dental Mission of Mercy traveled to Pueblo to lend a hand in the Endodontic Department. On hand from Arizona was our Endodontic Lead, Dr. Bradley Gettleman, his assistant Martha Felix, Kelli Van Horn from Dentsply Sirona* and Dr. Susan L. Wood from the Phoenix Endodontic Group.
Prior to moving to Phoenix in 2014, Dr. Wood was Endodontic Lead for COMOM events in 2007 (Alamosa), 2008, 2010, and 2011. She very much enjoyed visiting with her old staff and teammates.
AZMOM is fortunate to have our volunteers travel to other states to participate in other MOM events. No two states operate the same way and our volunteers always come back with feedback and input on how to improve the work we do here in Arizona.
On behalf of the Central Arizona Dental Society Foundation Board and our AZMOM family of volunteers, we thank the 4 of you for traveling to Colorado and representing (by wearing the AZMOM t-shirt) all of who work so hard to make our charitable dental event so successful.
*Special thanks to our Endodontic Sponsor, Dentsply Sirona – this is their first ever sponsorship in Colorado. Your support is greatly appreciated!!
