Our annual AZ Dental Mission of Mercy event would not happen without all of our outstanding volunteers, and we love being able to recognize so many of you!! We are very excited about our 6th Annual Event coming up in just over a month, on December 8th & 9th, and we are continually humbled by the hundreds of selfless, generous, loving and gracious individuals that continue to sign up to partner with us each year…we are truly fortunate to volunteer alongside the very best out there!
It is an honor to place these nominated individuals in the spotlight, and highlight the recognition they deserve, for going above and beyond in donating their time and talents. In this issue, we are recognizing Dr. Daniel Kang, one of our incredible Dentists who has volunteered with us each year since AZMOM first began! Thank you, Dr. Kang, for your tireless efforts, year after year, in helping to make our event the success that it is!
Don’t forget to SIGN UP for this year’s event, if you haven’t already, and please help us spread the word to your family and friends too!! THANK YOU to ALL of our volunteers for ALL that you do to help make AZMOM such a success :). We look forward to seeing everyone again this December 8th & 9th 2017 at the AZ Fairgrounds!!! #azmomcares
Daniel Kang, DDS
1- How many years have you been in dentistry? I have been practicing for 15 years now.
2- Who do you currently work for, and what is your title? I am the owner doctor at Pure Dental in Old Town Scottsdale.
3- How many years have you volunteered with AZMOM? I participated at every AZMOM event and look forward to the one this December.
4- Why is AZMOM important to you? I volunteer to give back and improve our communities both locally and globally. AZMOM allows us a venue to provide needed care to those in the valley. It is my hope that our volunteering can inspire others who will continue the cycle of giving.
5- Is there a significant memory/patient, from any of the AZMOM events you have participated in, that stands out to you? For the last few years, I participated in Pediatrics. One young patient dressed in his cowboy outfit with belt and boots to match left a lasting impression. He fractured his two anterior upper teeth. All he wanted for Christmas was his two front teeth!
6- What keeps you coming back to volunteer at AZMOM each year? Year after year, AZMOM creates lasting memories and motivates me to improve as a dental professional. These rewarding experiences draw me back each year. I particularly enjoy reuniting with former student volunteers who are participating now as dental professionals.
